RE-CHARTER HELP DATES

IF YOU NEED HELP WITH YOUR CHARTER, OR KNOW A UNIT THAT DOES, PLEASE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FOLLOWING DATES.  NO APPOINTMENT IS NECESSARY.

November 13      Norwood Elementary School (RT)      7:30pm-9:00pm

November 15     Baiting Hollow Scout Camp           9:00am-3:00pm

December 4          Comsewogue Public Library               7:30pm-9:00pm

December 11     Norwood Elementary School (RT)      7:30pm-9:00pm

CHARTERS ARE DUE 12/11/10.  IF YOU NEED HELP, CONTACT GERRI ALFANO AND A COMMISSIONER WILL BE ASSIGNED TO ASSIST YOU.

NOTIFICATION OF LATE CHARTERS WILL BE SENT TO THE CHARTERING ORGANIZATION AND THE CHARTER ORGANIZATION REPRESENTATIVE BEGINNING DECEMBER 17, 2008.

Some reasons that charters are rejected:

Missing adult and youth applications

Missing signatures of Unit Leaders, Committee chairpersons or the Institutional Head.

Youth Protection Training NOT DONE by your registerred adults.

Not submitting hardcopy to the Council Service Center. You are not finished after you click on "Submit"

Things to remember:

The on-line charter renewal DOES NOT give your complete fee, it doesn't include insurance, $2.00 per person per year (does not apply to Tiger Partners).  You have to add it in.
