Everything that you want to know about training in our District will be found here. Most of these trainings will be geared toward Adult Leader Training; however, a few Youth Leader trainings will be posted. Dates and places of trainings may be updated, so check back in often!

Certain Online Trainings EXPIRE after 2 years have passed. They include YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING,
WEATHER HAZARDS TRAINING, SAFE SWIM DEFENSE and SAFETY AFLOAT.
Troop Tour Plans will not be approved if you list adults who are not Youth Protection Trained. At least one (1)
Adult must have Weather Hazard Training and, if a water activity is included, the Safe Swim Defense & Safety Afloat.
YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING IS REQUIRED FOR ALL REGISTERED VOLUNTEERS.

HIGH ADVENTURE COURSES FOR ADULT SCOUT LEADERS -
These courses include:
BASIC BACKPACKING
CANOEING & CANOE TRIPPING
KAYAKING & WHITEWATER
AMERICAN RED CROSS CPR
WILDERNESS FIRST AID (Required for Philmont & Sea Base)
FIRST AID and SAFETY
Courses will be conducted at St. Joseph's Church in Ronkonkoma on Wednesdays beginning at 7 PM.

February 1 - Winter Camping Skills
February 8 & 15 - Specialities like Climbing, Caving, and Water Activities explained.
High adventure training opportunities for Spring/Summer have been announced.
